generative ai content policy

PURPOSE

This policy ensures that generative AI used within the Straight Lines Creative Design Platform (“CDP”) supports legitimate product design for apparel, footwear, and accessories, while preventing any harmful, exploitative, or inappropriate outputs. Our software is built exclusively for supporting the design and ideation workflows of wholesalers and retailers. 

1. Scope of Use

The CDP was designed for supporting design and visualization of new product concepts / variations. 

Supported use cases include: 

  • Apparel and footwear design.
  • Accessories and equipment design.
  • Marketing visualization of legitimate fashion products.
  • Age-appropriate renderings of children’s wear, School-wear, uniforms, and intimates 

2. Prohibited Content

Our systems must not be used to generate, edit, or distribute content that: 

  • Sexualizes or exploits minors in any way (including nudification, deepfakes, or unrealistic alterations). 
  • Creates sexualized imagery of intimate apparel (e.g. underwear, lingerie, swimwear) when minors are involved.
  • Depicts explicit sexual activity or pornography of any kind.
  • Promotes hate, violence, or self-harm, including imagery intended to intimidate, harass, or degrade individuals or groups.
  • Violates privacy by attempting to realistically re-create identifiable persons without consent. 
  • Misrepresents fashion brands’ products (e.g., counterfeit generation or logo misuse). 

3. Treatment of Sensitive Categories

Children’s Wear:

  • Images of children may be generated or edited only in the context of product design (e.g. T-shirts, sportswear, uniforms). 
  • All renderings must be non-sexual, age-appropriate, and consistent with real-world fashion industry standards. 

Intimate Apparel:

  • Design tools may include intimates (lingerie, underwear, swimwear). 
  • Renderings must remain non-explicit and consistent with legitimate retail catalog or runway standards. 
  • No content may be created for fetishization or pornographic purposes. 

4. Safety & Moderation

  • All generative outputs are subject to automated filters and brand-level review to ensure compliance. 
  • Attempts to circumvent safeguards (e.g., prompts intended to sexualize minors or misuse intimate designs) may result in access restrictions and/or termination of access to the CDP. 

5. Consent & Intellectual Property

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring that any uploaded reference images are: 
    • Legally owned or licensed for use in our platform, and 
    • Do not depict identifiable individuals without proper consent. 
  • The CDP will not intentionally reproduce third-party IP (logos, copyrighted artwork) except when explicitly provided by the customer for authorized design use.

6. Reporting & Enforcement

  • Violations of this policy may lead to suspension or termination of platform access. 
  • Any suspected child exploitation material will be immediately reported to relevant authorities. 
  • Brands may report policy violations or request removal of inappropriate outputs through our dedicated compliance channel. 

7. Continuous Review

This policy is reviewed regularly to reflect evolving AI safety standards, fashion industry norms, and legal requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, and child-safety regulations).
